HAR KI DOON TREK IN GARHWAL HIMALAYAS,INDIA
The Har Ki Dun means Valley of Gods is a treat for first time trekkers and nature lovers. Har Ki dun is a moderate trek which takes you to the one of the least explored places in the Garhwal Himalayas region of Uttarakhand and best suitable for first time trekkers in Himalayas and also who are experienced in other parts of Himalayas. Har Ki Dun Trek lies in the Govind Wild life Sanctuary and National Park and other famous trek nearby is Kedarkantha Peak Winter trek. Har Ki Dun trek gives you the magnificent views of famous peaks of Swargarohini, Bandar Poonch, Kala Nag or Black peak and Har Ki Dun peak itself. It is a lovely walk to the Har Ki Dun valley with fascinating views of Jaundar Glacier and surrounding Swargarohini group of peaks. As the myth this is the route chosen by the Pandavas for heaven. Duryodhan the villain in the epic Mahabharata is worshiped in the villages of this area. As a winter trek it offers a lot of snow on the trail coupled with ease of accessibility makes it’s a compelling proposition for those who want to experience a memorable winter vacation.
