1) Payment:

For booking a place in one of our fixed departures or to book a custom departure, we require a 50% deposit of the total cost of your trip to be transferred into our company  Bank account and the outstanding amount needs to be paid to us prior to departure or latest on the day you meet us for the trip departure.

The account details can be given to you during our email correspondence.

We cannot confirm any bookings in either our fixed departure or on a custom trip unless we have received the amount.

) Cancellation of booking:

If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip/ booking, please send us intimation in writing. Once we receive your intimation we will cancel your booking. Please note the following charges that apply for canceling your booking:

a) If cancellation is done before 30 days from departure: We will refund the entire amount after deducting a processing charge of Rs 1500.

b) If cancellation is done between 30 days and 15 days prior to departure: We will refund 50% of the amount deposited with us (25% of the trek cost)

c) If cancellation is done less than 15 days prior to departure: We would not be able to refund any money since most arrangements have been made by then.

3) Medical Releases:

Participants must be in good health and in a good physical condition. It is vital that participants with medical problems make them known to us well before departure. If you suffer from severe muscular, chest, heart or bronchial disorders, or if you are a severe asthmatic, or have high blood pressure, you are strongly advised against participating. Our trips generally take place in remote areas where there is little or no access to normal medical services or hospital facilities for serious problems. Where necessary, evacuation can be prolonged but it is difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be the responsibility of the participant.

4) Travel Insurance:

For your protection, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance. Travel insurance provides you with trip cancellation/interruption, travel delay, medical expenses, emergency assistance, air flight, baggage and baggage delay coverage’s to protect your financial investment. Medical coverage purchased with your policy will also satisfy our requirement for health insurance. 

5) Delay, cancellation or change of Itinerary:

North Himalayan Holidays reserves the right to cancel any expedition prior to departure (including, but not limited to, by reason of too few people booking on any tour) in which case participants will be given a refund in full. However, you will not be entitled to make any further claim for any injury, loss, expenses or damage (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation (including but not limited to visa, passport and vaccination charges, or departure, gear purchases, airport and airline taxes).

6) Exclusions:
What’s included and what’s not included is detailed individually on every package. However the following are excluded from all of our treks.

 . Drinks and other items of personal nature

. Customary gratuities for guides & porters

. Unforeseen cost due to flight cancellation, weather conditions etc

.  All costs not outlined under "What's Included"
