Valley of Flowers is the name of the Garhwal Himalayas -Uttarakhand state in India. In 1931 the English mountaineer Frank Smyth stumbled across the Bhyundar Valley, an 8 km long glacier corridor in Chamoli -one of the district of Uttarakhand state .This area, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and carpeted with over 500 species of flowers, soon became a protected site.Nature had designed this valley (3,658 m. to 3962 m) for the dedicated outdoors person. Nearly 10 km long and almost 2 kms wide, the valley is ringed with snow-capped mountains and watered by streams rising in the mountains. It is accessible from late April, but grandest from late July to the end of August. Literally hundreds of wild flowers bloom in this valley including the rare Himalayan Blue Poppy . A naturalist’s delight,the valley is reputed to be the largest repository of the wild flowers in the natural surroundings in the world over 300 species have been identified.

Day 1DELHI – HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH (Morning Train/ Drive 1hrs.)

Early morning transfer to the railway station to catch the express train to Haridwar. The train journey takes approximately 4 hours. Arriving at Haridwar at lunch time midway, 0ne hrs. Short drive to Rishikesh on the banks of the Ganges. check in the hotel. Afternoon visit some of the temples of this holy town Rishikesh Himalayas and in the evening we will witness the ceremony. Shortly after sunset, the ‘puja’ is performed in all of the temples lining the river at the same time, with a cacophony of musical instruments and voices. Afterwards, offerings of lamps and flowers are made to the Ganges and it is a moving sight to watch hundreds of miniature lamps float along the river. Overnight & Dinner at hotel.

Day 2 RISHIKESH – JOSHIMATH (1900mt./254km./8 hrs.)

Drive up to Joshimath through the confluence points of rivers namely, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Karanpryag covering a total of around 254km. Relish scrumptious breakfast and lunch on the way to Joshimath and upon arrival at the destination. Overnight in Hotel & Dinner.

Day 3JOSHIMATH – GOVIND GHAT – GHANGARIA (3048 mt./Trek 13 km./ 7 hrs.)

Having an early breakfast and then driving to Govindghat is what today’s schedule is. Govindghat is the starting point of the trek. From Govindghat there is a gradual ascent along a well maintained pilgrim trail to Ghangaria. Upon arrival at Ghangaria, check into hotel. Explore the surroundings in the evening which include the great Himalayan Mountains and peaks. Overnight in Tents/ Hotels & Dinner.

Day 4GHANGARIA – VALLLEY OF FLOWERS – GHANGARIA (3800 mt./Trek 9km./7hrs.)

After breakfast trek to Valley of Flowers from Ghangaria. The valley is an enchanting sight with an impressive array of rare wildflowers like Geranium, Marsh marigold, Prinula, Potentilla, Geum, Asters, Lilium, Ranunculus, Corydalis, Inula, Braham Kamal, Campanula, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Morina, Impatiens, Bistorta, Ligularia, Anaphalis, Saxifrages, Sibbaldia, Thermo- psis, Trollius, Codonopsis, Dactylorhiza, Cypripedium, Str- awberry, Epilobium, Rhododendrons and numerous others. Most of the flowers have medicinal values too. The valley is 10 Kms long, 2 Kms wide, and is divided by the Pushpawati stream, into which several tiny streams and waterfalls merge. After enjoying the beauty of valley trek back to Ghangaria.Overnight in Tents / Hotel & Dinner.

Day 5GHANGARIA – HEMKUND SAHIB – GHANGARIA (4200 mt./ Trek 10k./ 8 hrs.)

Today after breakfast, you’ll follow a steep trail to Hemkund Sahib to visit the religious site where Guru Gobind Singh is said to have meditated in a previous life. Surrounded by seven snow-capped mountains this place is no doubt soothing and calming. Spend time here. When you are trekking to Hemkund Sahib please note that you cannot stay at Hemkund Sahib after 2 PM because weather changes very rapidly here. Late afternoon, we trek back to Ghangaria. Overnight in Tents / Hotel & Dinner.

Day 6 GHANGARIA – GOVND GHAT – BADRINATH( 3100 mt./Trek 13km./ Drive 22km./ 7 hrs.)

Today we trek back to Govindghat and from there drive for about an hour to reach the beautiful temple town of Badrinath. Situated on the banks of holy Alaknanda and with the backdrop of Neelkanth peak, an ancient temple with hot spring water pools and crisp and clean air, Badrinath is a wonderful destination to visit. For the spiritually inclined, there can be no better place. Witness of evening Puja of lord Visnhu at Badrianth temple and blessing back to Hotel. Overnight in Hotel & Dinner.

Day 7BADRINATH – RISHIKESH (Drive 299 km. / 10 hrs.)

Early morning breakfast drive to Rishikesh check in hotel, late evening witness of Arti ( prayer) holy Ganga at parmath Niketan at Swrgashram & visit the colorful market and back to hotel.Overnight in hotel & dinner.

Day 8RISHIKESH – HARIDWAR – DELHI (Drive 250 km./ 7 hrs.)

Checkout the hotel and drive to Haridwar the Gate of god & Goddess ,visit some hrs like har ki padi the Foot prints of god Vishnu , and the Ghat and temple, after lunch continue drive to Delhi check in Hotel. Overnight in hotel & Dinner.

  • All travel from Delhi and back to Delhi by road/ Train (by non ac / 2T A/C or 3T A/C Coach)
  • Accommodation will be provided throughout the trip as mentioned in the itinerary on twin sharing basis.
  • Accommodation in tents with foam sleeping pads & sleeping bags for entire trek.
  • Meals: As per itinerary, Tea /coffee, snacks & drinking boiled water during the trek. All meals would be vegetarian,the food would be a mix of Indian, Chinese & Local.
  • Professionally trained mountain guide with English speaking, camp staff, cook etc.
  • Mules/Porters: For carrying rations, trekking equipments, personal gear of the clients (one bag not weighing more than 10 kgs).
